services are offered at each of our seven
elderly and disabled housing complexes on
Mount Desert Island and in Ellsworth. We
take pride in providing services which in
turn allow for easier independent living.
Homemaker
Program
Homemakers are available on site to assist
residents with house cleaning, grocery shopping,
errands and laundry. Cost is $17 per hour.
On-site
Meals Service
We provide one hot, nutritious lunch Monday
through Friday. Dining rooms are open at
Malvern Belmont Estates, Ridge Apartments
and Maple Lane Apartments. Home deliveries
are available to older adults who are physically
unable to go out to a dining room. Meal
cost is $3. Those who live in their own
home but are unable to prepare their own
meals may be interested in learning more
about the community-based Meals
for Me Program.
Personal
Care Assistance
Personal care aides assist residents with
meal preparation, personal hygiene, bathing
and assurance and medication cueing. Cost
is $17 per hour.
Service
Coordination
Staff are available to assist with any in-home
services you may need in order to remain
independent in your apartment: meals, transportation,
house cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping
and personal care. If you would like more
